In the Spring of 2010, Sky Mountain Coffee was born. Collaborating with a number of key individuals within the Lowe's Companies, Craig Blaney worked to create a unique cafe experience for the benefit of Lowe's employees and contractors. Among the multi-layered goals was the mission to bring the highest quality products and excellent customer service together in a clean, welcoming environment.

On December 10, 2010, Sky Mountain Coffee opened for business at the Lowe's Corporate Center in Mooresville, North Carolina and our 5 kilo coffee roaster began small-batch craft roasting of specialty grade arabica coffees. A broad spectrum of loose leaf teas, all-fruit smoothies, and blended specialty drinks compliment our drip coffee and espresso drinks made on our world-class La Marzocco espresso machine. Fresh baked goods and healthy snacks round out our menu offerings.

In December of 2011, Sky Mountain opened a sister cafe at the Lowe's Corporate Support facility in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

2016 was a big year of expansion. Partnering with the Compass Eurest companies, Sky Mountain Coffee opened a coffee house at the new Sealed Air Corporate Campus in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 28.

In August of 2016 we also opened a walk-up cafe at Lowe's Mooresville called Skylite Cafe.

A hearty "thank you" to our supporters and fans for allowing us to share our passion for excellent coffee and tea. We look forward to many cups together with everyone!
