Medium-to-full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, displaying notes of milk chocolate, lemon and caramel. Anticipate a clean, crisp cup due to the fully washed bean processing.
This coffee is sourced from Productos Orgánicos Nueva Esperanza (PRONE), an organization located in the municipality of Siguatepeque, Honduras. PRONE was established in 2008 and works with 116 coffee producers from five departments in Honduras. PRONE provides technical assistance and training to help producers obtain and maintain their organic certification. PRONE is also collaborating with producers to improve waste water management practices at the farm level.
The "SHB" designation means Strictly Hard Bean and indicates a higher altitude and slower grown coffee, a mark of quality.
PRONE grows Catuai, Caturra, and Pacas varietals and harvest from November to March.
